A Brief History of Buzzword Bingo - Bullshit Bingo...Bullshit Bingo is known by many names. Buzzword Bingo seems to be the polite way to describe it and was probably the original name. Then Bullshit Bingo appeared and in the UK Bollocks Bingo is a frequent description of the game. It is a game that can NOT usually be played with much openness as the speaker will generally not be keen at being ridiculed. One famous incident was when Al Gore was giving a speech and the students had handed out Buzzword Bingo cards. Al Gore was known for his enthusiastic use of new jargon and technology. He was tipped off and at one point when there was small out burst of cheering from a section of the student audience Al Gore asked " What? did I say a buzzword" Buzzword Bingo TV and Video CommercialsIBM has used it in a video commercial. More recently Sarah Palin was the target of Buzzword Bingo enthusiasts and here we have a video of two students discussing Sarah Palin's use of buzzwords.
